The MK8 extruder heatsink gold is a 40×40×11 mm gold anodised aluminium heat sink designed to keep the cold end of a Makerbot MK7/MK8 extruder cool and prevent heat creep during printing.

Fitting a MK8 extruder heatsink gold between the hot end and the extruder body blocks heat from travelling up the filament path.
